Thinking of You!

Valentine's day is drawing closer that's why there is another Valentine's day challenge open. This time on the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog. So why not combine the Whiff of Joy and Cute Card challenges and get 1 card done for both of them?

Das Thema Valentinestag verfolgt mich im Augenblick...haha Genauso ist nämlich auch die challenge auf dem Cute Card Thursday challenge blog. Also warum kombiniert ihr nicht einfach die Whiff of Joy and Cute Card challenges und macht 1 Karte für beide?

Guardian Angel boy Matthew designed by Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy Stamps is the perfect stamp for romantic "Thinking of You" cards. I chose boyish colours and a clear boyish layout ;)The envelope die is from Quick Utz and I had it in my drawer for ages. I got the little school clip from my friend Inge. It's from Karen Foster Designs. I embossed the light blue paper with the Cuttlebug folder "forest branches" and sewed it to the background paper.

Schutzengel Junge Matthew designed von Elisabeth Bell für Whiff of Joy Stamps ist der perfekte Stempel für romantische "Ich denk an dich" Karten. Ich habe mir jungenhafte Farben und ein klares Layout ausgesucht. Der kleine Briefumschlag ist von QuickUtz und ich habe ihn schon eine Ewigkeit in meiner Schlublade liegen gehabt ;) Den Schulclip habe ich von meiner Freundin Inge bekommen, er ist von Karen Foster Designs. Den hellblauen Streifen Papier habe ich mit dem Cuttlebug folder "forest branches" geprägt.

I coloured Matthew with water soluble pens from Caran D'Ache and Twinkling H2Os. I added glitter to his wings and coloured the ground with Twinklings (cinnamon brown).

It's a Valentine's challenge over at the Whiff of Joy challenge blog, which I interpretated rather frankly ;)
Eine Valentinstags Challenge gibt es diese Woche auf dem Whiff of Joy challenge blog. Ich habe das Thema mit meiner Karte recht frei interpretiert ;)

Doesn't this cute little frog prince from High Hopes Rubber Stamps ( I really love this little fellow ;) sit comfortable in this romantic Whiff of Joy armchair designed by Elisabeth Bell? I got a new pack of My Mind's Eye design paper the other day (from the Laundry Line collection). What a wonderful paper, full of glitter and of intense colour! I created the scalloped border with the Stampin'Up scalloped border punch and punched the holes with a 1/8 '' circle punch. I then distressed the edges with a white ink pad to give it a softer touch.

Sitzt der süße Froschkönig von High Hopes Rubber Stamps (an dem habe ich einen Narren gefressen ;) nicht sehr komfortabel auf dem romantischen Whiff of Joy Polsterstuhl designed von Elisabeth Bell? Ich habe gerade einen neuen Pack Motivpapier von My Mind's Eye bekommen und bin total begeistert. So tolle Farben und überall Glitzer (Es ist von der Laundry Line Kollektion). Den Rand des braunen Cardstocks habe ich mit dem Stampin' Up scalloped border Stanzer gemacht und dann die Löcher mit einen 1/8 '' Kreisstanzer ausgestanzt. Die Kante habe ich mit weißem Stempelkissen gewischt um einen weicheren Übergang zu erhalten.

Soap roses and a card

I found this clear, heart shaped box filled with roses of soap leaves and was sure that this would be a lovely small present for a special friend :) So I decorated it and created a matching card.

Ich habe dieses durchsichtige, herzförmige Dose, gefüllt mit Rosen aus Seifenblättern entdeckt und wußte sofort, das sie ein tolles kleines Mitbringsel abgeben würde ;) Also habe ich die Dose dekoriert und eine passende Karte dazu gemacht.
I am sorry for the bad pictures, but the light over here is so bad today, that not even my daylight lamp could help. I used the Party Sentiments collection from Whiff of Joy Stamps and cut them out with Spellbinder's Label 1 Nestabilities.

A birthday card

I am always short on birthday cards - can you believe it?? haha
So here is one I did with the german party and birthday sentiment set I designed for Whiff of Joy Stamps myself :)

Ich habe doch tatsächlich nie eine Geburtstagskarte, wenn ich eine brauche, könnt ihr euch das vorstellen?? haha
Also habe ich eine mit den neuen deutschen Party und Geburtstagstexten gebastelt, die ich selbst für Whiff of Joy Stamps designed habe :)

The sentiments in the Stampin' Up silver hardware means "for your birthday best of" and the large letters I cut with my cuttlebug alphabet "Fancy Pants" means "luck". I distressed all borders and did some sewing with my Janome Sew Mini. The card base is Stampin' Up's kraft cardstock. It is a quite classic card, but that's exactly what i needed :)

Die großen Buchstaben habe ich mit dem Cuttlebug Alphabet "Fancy Pants"ausgestanzt. Alle Kanten sind distressed und ich habe mit meiner Janome Sew Mini rundherum genäht. Die Karte ist sehr klassisch geworden, aber das war genaus das was ich gebraucht habe :)


I got this beautiful dragonfly charm, the center pieces of the flowers (spacers) and the flowers at Embellishments.de. They also ship uproad ( I am uproad myself...LOL ), just ask for the prices :)

Ich habe diese wunderschöne Libelle, die Mittelstücke bei den Blumen (spacer) und die Blumen bei Embellishments.de gekauft. Susanne hat ein wunderbares Sortiment!

Whiff of Joy Spring Stamp kit update

Good morning everybody :) The pre-order of the first Whiff of Joy / Elisabeth Bell Spring Stamp Kit is open until January 26. Only 3 more days left. I can feel your excitement and curiosity to see the whole set and the amazing stamps Elisabeth created for us.
That's why I decided to show you another preview of what's to come :) It is only a small one though, because I don't want to take the pleasant anticipation away...haha
So if you haven't made up your mind whether to order the stamp kit or not, you still have time, but not too much :)

I had some questions via email if it is possible to get the kit, even when the bank transfer doesn't arrive until sunday. I can assure you that we will have enough kits in stock, so that everybody who ordered until the 26th will get one, even when the money arrives a few days later :)

Einen schönen guten Morgen :)
Die Vorbestellungsphase für das Whiff of Joy / Elisabeth Bell Spring Stempelkit läuft noch bis zum 26. Jänner. Also noch 3 Tage. Ich fühle eure Spannung und Neugierde darauf die Stempel endlich zu sehen, deswegen zeige ich euch heute eine weitere Vorschau. Es ist aber nur eine Kleine, da ich die Vorfreude nicht schmälern will...haha
Wenn ihr euch also noch nicht entschieden habt, ob ihr euch das Stempelkit kaufen sollt, dann habt ihr noch etwas Zeit, aber nicht mehr allzuviel ;)

Ich habe ein paar Anfragen erhalten ob man das Kit bekommt, wenn man erst jetzt die Banküberweisung vornimmt. Wir haben auf jeden Fall genug Kits vorrätig, es werden alle, die es bis Sonntag bestellen, eines bekommen. Auch wenn die Zahlung erst später eingeht :)

Prince Charming

Welcome to Cute Card Thursday's challenge #44, which is to "Create A Scene". Isn't this forest background from High Hopes Rubber Stamps simply amazing? I just used a few different shades of green to colour it in and ready is the perfect "outdoor" scene ;)

Willkommen zu Cute Card Thursday's challenge #44 für die wir eine Szene erstellen sollten. Ist dieser Wald-Hintergrund von High Hopes Rubber Stamps nicht ein Traum? Ich habe einfach nur ein paar verschiedene Grüntöne verwendet um ihn zu colorieren und fertig ist die perfekte Szene ;)

My little frog prince is cut out and set on foam blocks to give the whole scene a bit more dimension. I put some small crystals on the crown. You can get the sentiment from High Hopes, but I didn't have it, so I created my own on the computer and cut it out with Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 1.
Don't forget to have a look at the CCT Designers work and there is a fabulous prize to be won :)

Oh what a wonderful wednesday!! I had a good night's sleep, no annoying appointements with doctors today...LOL and the best of all --- I was able to do a sketch for the Whiff of Joy challenge blog!!! Thanks Donalda for letting me participate and thanks to the Design Team for your fabulous inspiration :)

Ich habe gut geschlafen, heute keine schrecklichen Arzttermine...haha und das Beste von Allem --- Ich durfte einen sketch für den Whiff of Joy challenge blog erstellen!! Danke Donalda, dass ich auf diese Weise bei euch mitmachen kann und danke an das Design Team für die wunderbare Inspiration :)

Aren't those two foxes, designed by Alison Acton for Whiff of Joy Stamps, perfect for a "love" card?? I instantly had the song "Tonight I Celebrate My Love To You" from Sharon Cuneta on my mind. I did the scalloped border with the new SU punch and used the coordinating stamp set with chocolate chip ink. The sentiment is created on the computer.

What a tuesday!! I had to go to the dentist in the morning and my children each got an immunization in the afternoon, which hurt me more than it hurt them ;) I was totally exhausted in the evening...LOL

Was für ein Dienstag!! ich mußte am Vormittag zum Zahnarzt und am Nachmittag haben meine beiden Söhne auch noch je eine Impfung bekommen. Das tut mir selbst immer mehr weh als ihnen ;) Auf jeden Fall war ich am Abend fix und fertig...LOL

Wishing you wonderful adventures - a dude card

Monday!! Not my favourite day of the week, but absolutely the favourite one of my 2,5 year old son Niklas. It's the day for Muki gym (Mutter-Kind / mother-kid) and he is talking about it all week. I am also looking forward to spend some time just with him and he loves to jump and run.

Montag!! Nicht gerade mein liebster Tag der Woche ;) Aber der absolute Lieblingstag meines 2,5 jährigen Sohnes Niklas. Es ist der Tag vom Muki Turnen (Mutter-Kind) und er spricht die ganze Woche davon :) Ich freue mich auch schon darauf wieder etwas Zeit nur mit ihm zu verbringen und ihm beim Springen und Laufen zuzusehen ;)

Today's card, which I did for this weeks High Hopes Challenge with the theme "a dude's card", features Walkabout Wally, the coordinating sentiment and the compass stamp, which I used to create my own background.

Meine heutige Karte, die ich für die dieswöchige High Hopes Challenge, mit dem Thema "Eine Jungenkarte", gemacht habe zeigt Walkabout Wally, den passenden Text und den Kompass Stempel mit dem ich meinen eigenen Hintergrund gestempelt habe.

I coloured Wally with water soluble pens, watertank brush and Twinkling H2Os. The background is done with SU pastels ( I left my Nestabilities over the image to protect the outer border while applying two different colours with a sponge dauber.

Yaob Sunday #20 - Iris

Happy sunday and welcome to another edition of Yaob Sunday (=Your artwork on my blog).
Einen schönen Sonntag wünsche ich euch und herzlich willkommen zu einer neuen Ausgabe von Yaob Sunday (=Eure Werke auf meinem Blog).
Today's featured crafter is Iris from Iriswelt, who did this great vintage "Love"-card following my sketch #26. What a fabulous creation! I love all the distressing and sewing. Iris used one of my favourite color combinations pink/brown. If you visit Iris' blog you will find a lot more inspiring cards (some of them also done after my sketches). Thanks Iris!

Heute möchte ich euch eine wunderschöne Karte von Iris (Iriswelt) zeigen. Sie hat diese tolle vintage "Love"-Karte nach meinem Sketch #26 gemacht. All das Distressing und das Nähen gefallen mir sehr, ausserdem hat Iris eine meiner liebsten Farbkombinationen rosa/braun verwendet. With Sympathy - Eine Trauerkarte

I received notice that a friend lost his wife who was very ill over a long period of time. She was only 59 years of age.
Ich habe von dem tragischen Verlust eines Bekannten erfahren, der seine Frau nach langer Krankheit am 1.1.09 verloren hat. Sie war erst 59 Jahre alt.
I created this sympathy card to show him our grief. The sentiment is printed on the computer and means: "The loss of a loved one turns day to night, but the faith of meeting again shines bright enough to disperse darkness."
The text is cut with the curved rectangles from Spellbinders Nestabilities. The black background is embossed with Cuttlebug's "forest branches" folder.

Ich habe diese Karte gestaltet um ihm unsere Anteilnahme auszudrücken. DenText habe ich am Computer erstellt und dabei ist mir eingefallen, euch zu fragen ob ihr Interesse an einer Whiff of Joy Text Kollektion zu diesem Thema hättet?

Happy friday!! Do you already smell the weekend..haha It feels like I can almost touch it ;)
We'll get some lovely visit from friends back at our time in Vienna and I am really looking forward to hear all the news and to see them again. I got all the preparations for lunch ready, which will involve a lot of chees (Raclette, a swiss speciality...haha).

Wir werden morgen Besuch von Freunden aus Wien bekommen und ich bin schon ganz aufgeregt sie wiederzusehen und alle Neuigkeiten zu erfahren :) Meine Vorbereitungen für das Mittagessen habe ich auch schon getroffen. Es wird mit viel Käse zu tun haben ...LOL Es gibt nämlich Raclette (ich muss ja schließlich etwas typisch schweizerisches machen, oder?) Today's card is for Valentine's day, that's why I used soft colours and one of my favourite WoJ / Elisabeth Bell stamps, Melinda blowing kisses. I did the frame with the rectangle Nestabilities and cut around Melinda's ponytail and the small heart to let it show outside the frame. The small holes are done with a 1/8 circle punch. I embossed a pice of bashful blue cardstock with the cuttlebug folder "textile texture" and cut it with the curved rectangle Nestability from Spellbinder's. The leaves are also from Spellbinders, but I can't find them on their homepage, maybe they are retired. All edges are distressed. The sentiment is from the Whiff of Joy general sayings collection.

Meine Karte für heute ist eine Valentinstagskarte, darum habe ich die sanften Farben und eines meiner liebsten WoJ / Elisabeth Bell Motive gewählt, Melinda schickt Küsschen. Den Rahmen habe ich mit den rechteckigen Nestabilities gemacht und um ihren Pferdeschwanz und das kleine Herz mit einer Schere herumgeschnitten, damit die aus dem Rahmen ragen. Die Löcher sind mit einem 1/8'' Punch gestanzt. Ich habe ein Stück SU bashful blue cardstock mit dem Cuttlebug embossing folder "textile texture" embosst und dann mit dem curved rectangle Nestability ausgestanzt. Die Blätter sind auch von Spellbinders, allerdings kann ich sie momentan nicht auf ihrer Homepage finden, vielleicht sind sie aus dem Sortiment genommen worden. Ich habe alle Kanten mit einem braunen Stempelkissen gewischt. Der text ist aus der Whiff of Joy gebräuchliche Textkollektion.
