I hope you had a good start of the new week. We are expecting really good weather these days, so my mood is at it's best and I am looking forward to spring :)

Ich hoffe die neue Woche hat gut für euch angefangen. Wir rechnen mit wirklich guten Wetter die nächsten Tag, deswegen ist meine Stimmung auf ihrem Höhepunkt :) Ich freue mich schon auf den Frühling!

I used one of my new Hänglar and Stänglar images from the spring kit and coloured the cute boy with water soluble pens from Caran D'Ache and Twinkling H2Os. I love the rich and intense shades you can achieve with this colouration technique. The butterfly chipboard is from Tattered Angels, I bought the set at the Craft Barn. They are spectacular, self adhesive and embossed. Love them :) I made the branches with a Stampin' Up Sizzit die, I received it from my dear friend Erin (Thanks a lot!!).
The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, the swirl is from the Whiff of Joy spring swirl collection.

Ich habe eines der neuen Hänglar and Stänglar Motive des Frühlingskits mit Supracolor Aquarellstiften und Twinkling H2Os coloriert. Das intensive und schattenreiche Ergebnis dieser Colorationstechnik liebe ich :) Das Schmetterlings-Embllishment ist aus Karton, selbstkleben und geprägt (tolles Zeug...haha) von der Firma Tattered Angels, ich habe es in dem englischen onlineshop The Craft Barn gekauft, die haben sehr vernünftige Versandkosten innerhalb Europas. Die Zweige sind von einer Stampin' Up sizzit Stamzschablone, die ich von meiner lieben Freundin Erin geschenkt bekommen habe (Lieben Dank :) Der Text ist ebenfalls von Stampin' Up, der Schnörkel ist von dem Whiff of Joy Frühlingsschnörkel Set.

Springtime Joy

The amazingly talented Ila set a fabulous challenge on the High Hopes blog this week: "Creative Borders". So I tried to get as many "borders" on my card as possible...haha

Die sehr talentierte Ila setzte die Challenge dieser Woche für den High Hopes blog: "Kreative Ränder und Kanten". Also habe ich versucht soviele "Ränder" auf meiner Karte unterzubringen wie möglich..haha

Those 3 cute fellows are perfect for any kind of spring or easter card. I coloured them in a second with my Copic Sketch Markers.

• border 1: I used the small High Hopes rose from the ribbon rose set to stamp a border and coloured the roses with Spica glitter pens.
• border 2: the main image is matted with a long scalloped rectangle from Spellbinders Nestabilities.
• border 3: I sewed some additional borders around the main image.
• border 4: I scored two lines next to and below the sentiment.

Die 3 süßen Tiere sind perfekt für alle Arten von Frühlings- oder Osterkarten. Ausserdem habe ich sie in Null komma Nichts mit meinen Copic Sketch Markern coloriert.

• Rand 1: Hier habe ich die kleine High Hopes Rose von dem Rosenband Set verwendet um eine Reihe zu stempeln. Coloriert habe ich sie dann mit Spica Glitzerstiften.
• Rand 2: Das Hauptmotiv habe ich mit einem gewellten langen Rechteck von Spellbinders Nestabilities hinterlegt.
• Rand 3: Mit der Nähmaschine habe ich noch einen zusätzlichen Rand ober- und unterhalb des Hauptmotivs genäht.
• Rand 4: Entlang und unterhalb des Textes habe ich 2 Linien gefalzt.

Thank you from the heart - mass production

A friend of mine is going through a quite difficult family situation, so I wanted to cheer her up with a little present :) The babtism of her third boy is coming up in April and I thought she might like to send some "Thank You" cards to the people who will bring presents for her son.

Eine Freundin von mir muss im Moment recht viel durchmachen, deswegen wollte ich sie mit einem kleinen Geschenk aufmuntern :) Die Taufe ihres 3. Sohnes steht im April an und ich dachte mir, dass sie sich sicher über ein paar Dankeskarten für die Leute freut, die Geschenke bringen.
I used the super cute heart swirls Sonja Wallrath designed for Whiff of Joy, stamped them with Versamark ink on SU kraft cardstock, sprinkled white embossing powder over them and heat embossed them with my heat gun. I sponged the edges with a white inkpad and matted the rectangle on whisper white cardstock from SU. I cut away 1/3 of the front cover and punched the scalloped border with my SU punch.

Ich habe die super süßen Herzschnörkel, die Sonja für Whiff of Joy designed hat verwendet und sie mit Versamark Tinte auf kraft cardstock von Stampin' Up gestempelt. Dann habe ich sie mit weissem Embossing Puder bestreut und embosst. Die Kanten habe ich mit einem weissem Stempelkissen gewischt und das Ganze mit weissem Cardstock hinterlegt. 1/3 des Deckblattes habe ich wegeschnitten und mit dem scalloped border Stanzer von Stampin' Up bearbeitet.

I generated the sentiment on the computer and printed it on kraft cardstock, then cut narrow pieces and used the scalloped border punch again. I did the faux stitching with my sewing machine.

Ich habe den Text am Computer erstellt und auf Kraft cardstock ausgedruckt. Danach habe ich schmale Streifen abgeschnitten und wieder mit dem SU scalloped border Stanzer bearbeitet. Das "falsche Nähen" habe ich mit meiner Nähmschine, aber einfach ohne Faden gemacht.

The ribbon and buttons are from Stampin' Up. It is so easy to combine their stuff and most of the time also looks good...haha

There is another fab challenge ready for you at the Cute Card Thursday blog. It is such a pity that I couldn't finish my card in time. Marcel, my dear husband, has to work overtime at the moment, so I have to handle the children, household, a dog and business alone...haha *enter a maniac laugh here* ;)

Es gibt auch diese Woche wieder eine tolle Challenge auf dem Cute Card Thursday blog. Es ist wirklich schade, dass ich es nicht geschafft habe meine DT Karte rechtzeitig fertig zu bekommen. Marcel, mein Mann, muss momentan Überstunden machen, d.h. ich manage die Kinder, den Haushalt 1 Hund und das WoJ business ganz alleine...haha *an dieser Stelle bitte einen irrsinnigen Lacher einfügen* ;)

I used Elisabeth's presentstower designed for Whiff of Joy Stamps for my card and coloured it with Copic Sketch Markers. The ribbon is from a Raspberry Ribbons kit, I folded it and sewed straight over it two times. The elegant paper is from Stampin' Up. Did I already mention that I love their new design paper collections?? haha

Ich habe Elisabeth's Geschenketurm designed für Whiff of Joy Stamps für meine Karte verwendet und ihn mit Copic Sketch Markern coloriert. Das Band ist von einem Raspberry Ribbons kit, ich habe es willkürlich gefaltet und mit der Maschine zweimal drübergenäht. Das elegante Papier ist von Stampin' Up. Habe ich eigentlich schon erwähnt, dass ich ihre neuen Motivpapier-Kollektionen liebe?? haha

The flowers are from Prima Marketing, the center pieces are from Stampin' Up. I punched the leaves with a Martha Steward punch. The idea to accomplish the flowers with the beautiful swirls Sonja designed came from WoJ Guest Designer Jorunn. I love the flower arrangements she does on her cards.

This card resulted from my unwillingness to cover up this absolutely fabulous paper...LOL
At first I only wanted to use a piece of it, but I simply couldn't cut this phenomenal silver shimmering swirls apart.

Diese Karte ist entstanden, weil ich es nicht über das Herz brachte dieses traumhafte Papier zu zerschneiden...haha Zuerst wollte ich nur ein Stück davon verwenden, aber dann wäre der wunderbare silber schimmernde Schnörkel verloren gegangen.
So I only did some sewing, adhered some halfpearls and cut the Whiff of Joy sentiment (which is part of the Spring Swirls and text collection) with Stampin' Up's word window punch.
A really simple card, but I felt truly relieved to have saved the swirl..haha

Eine wirklich einfache Karte, aber ich fühlte mich einfach besser nachdem ich den Schnörkel "gerettet" hatte...haha

Little Red Traktor - Invitations / Einladungskarten

Do you know the children TV show "Little red Tractor"? My 3 year old son Niklas is a HUGE fan...haha
So when I asked him a few days ago which image he wanted for his birthday invitation cards, pirates or a tractor, the answer was clear ;)

Kennt ihr die Kinder-Fernsehserie "Kleiner roter Traktor"? Mein 3 jähriger Sohn Niklas ist ein RIESEN Fan...haha
Als ich ihn dann vor ein paar Tagen gefragt habe was für ein Motiv er auf den Einladungskarten für seinen Geburtstag haben will, lag die Antwort schon auf der Hand ;)

I did my best to get an authentic look of the little red Tractor. This charming image is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps and the minute I saw it, I knew I needed it :) This weeks challenge at the HHS blog is "buttons galore", which was perfect for a boy's birthday invitation card.

Ich habe mein Bestes gegeben um den kleinen roten Traktor authentisch aussehen zu lassen. Dieses charmante Motiv ist von High Hopes Rubber Stamps und ich wußte gleich, dass ich es unbedingt brauchte :) Das Thema dieser Woche bei der High Hopes Challenge ist "Knöpfe, Knöpfe, Knöpfe", perfekt für eine Jungen Geburtstagskarte.

I embossed the kraft cardstock from SU with the cuttlebug embossing folder dots and spots and cut the border with some of those children scissors.

Ich habe den Kraft cardstock von SU mit dem cuttlebug embossing folder dots and spots bearbeitet und die Ränder mit so einer zick zack Kinderschere abgeschnitten.

I needed 4 invitation cards for Niklas' best friends, so I stamped the image 4 times and coloured them synchronously with my Copic Sketch Markers.

Ich brauchte 4 Einladungskarten für Niklas' beste Freunde, deswegen habe ich das Motiv 4 x nebeneinander gestempelt und mit meinen Copic Sketch Markern synchron ausgemalt.

I put some crystal effects on the lights and used my new Flower Soft for the grass. It gives a really cool effect and the colours are beautiful. It looks far better than fun flock. I bought myself a variety of colours at Crafts U Do. They are offering really low shipping costs inside Europe and the service was very good.

Ich habe etwas Crystal effects von Stampin' Up auf die Lichter gegeben und eines meiner neuen Flower Soft für das Gras ausprobiert. Es gibt einen wirklich tollen Effekt und schaut viel besser aus als fun flock. Ich habe mir gleich ein paar Farben gegönnt. Gekauft habe ich es bei Crafts U Do. Das ist zwar eine britische Firma, die bieten aber sensationell günstige Versandkosten innerhalb Europas. Das Service und die Kommunikation waren auch sehr gut.

To Brighten your Day - WoJ preview V

Ah, the weekend and I am very excited about the new Whiff of Joy release on sunday :) Maybe you thought I forgot about my traditional new release blog candy...haha But that's not true. I have some very yummy candy to offer you tomorrow as a thank you for all my regular readers, so it will only be open for one day :)

Ah, das Wochenende und ich bin schon so aufgeregt wegen dem neuen release am Sonntag :) Vielleicht habt ihr schon geglaubt, dass ich meinen traditionellen new release blog candy vergessen habe...haha Aber dem ist nicht so ;) Morgen habe ich einen tollen candy für euch, an dem man nur 1 Tag teilnehmen kann, als kleines Dankeschön für meine regelmäßigen blog Leser :)

My card for today, or shall I say for tonight..haha, shows musing Melinda designed by the fantastic Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy stamps sitting on a wooden bench. I also used Elisabeth's swirly clouds, stamped them on bashful blue design paper and cut around them. It was a real pleasure to use Sonja Wallrath's spring swirls for the first time, they harmonise with the whimsical WoJ images perfectly.

Meine Karte für heute, besser gesagt heute Abend ;), zeigt Elisabeth Bell's nachdenkliche Melinda, wie sie auf einer Bank sitzt, umgeben von verschnörkelten Wolken. Ich habe die Wolken auf "bashful blue" Motivpapier von Stampin' Up gestempelt und ausgeschnitten. Es war ein wahres Vergnügen das erste Mal Sonja Wallrath's Frühlingsschnörkel zu verwenden, sie harmonisieren perfekt mit den verspielten WoJ Stempeln.

I coloured Melinda with Copic Sketch Markers, as well as the wooden bench. I cut the bench with Spellbinder's curved rectangle Nestabilities. The sentiment is part of the Spring Swirls collection, which are designed by myself :)

So fairy sweet of you - WoJ preview IV

There is another great challenge theme at the Cute Card Thursday blog this week. You have to follow a recipe, which is really challenging and so much fun! Take something ripped; 2 papers and 4 embellishments. So what are you waiting for, get your thinking caps on ;)

Auch diese Woche gibt es wieder eine tolle challenge auf dem Cute Card Thursday blog. Ihr müßt einem Rezept folgen, was eine richtige Herausforderung ist, aber echt Spaß macht :) Verwendet etwas Zerrissenes, 2 Papiere und 4 Embellishments. Also, worauf wartet ihr noch? Macht euch an die Arbeit ;)

I used one of the most charming Whiff of Joy / Elisabeth Bell Angels ever - Melinda with bouquet. She will be released this sunday and I am already totally in love :) I ripped the my base designpaper and sewed with my machine two times. Don't you love this papers? They are from a new SU set again called Bella Birds. They have outdone themselves with the new papers. My 4 embellishments are 1 ribbon, 2 flowers and 1 button. I used my SU slit punch to get the ribbon through the paper.

Ich habe eine der charmantesten Whiff of Joy / Elisabeth Bell Engel für meine Karte verwendet - Melinda mit Blumenbouquet. Sie wird ebenfalls ab diesem Sonntag erhältlich sein und ich bin total in sie verliebt :) Ich habe mein Grundmotivpapier an der unteren Kante gerissen und mit meiner Nähmaschine zweimal genäht. Sind diese Papiere nicht wieder ein Traum? Stampin' Up hat sich mit den neuen Kollektionen selbst übertroffen. Meine 4 Embellishments sind 1 Band, 1 Knopf und 2 Blumen. Ich habe den SU slit punch verwendet um einen Schlitz für das Band zu stanzen.

I coloured Melinda with Copic Sketch Markers and also the ground. I only use 1 colour for the ground and then go over it with my Copic blender pen several times to get this textured look. I cut Melinda with Spellbinders Label 1 Nestabilities. If you want to know how I managed to cut around the wing, just take a look at this tutorial.
