Decorated chocolatebox

I bought a small hexagonal chipboard box at my local craft store ages ago...LOL and finally managed to decorate it as a little give away.

Ich habe vor Ewigkeiten eine kleine, sechseckige Kartonschachtel in meinem Bastelladen gekauft. Und endlich habe ich es geschafft sie zu dekorieren. Jetzt wartet sie in meinem Schrank darauf, dass ich sie verschenke ;)

I used one of my favourite Guardian Angel stamps designed by Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy. Melinda with flower bouquet (she is on sale at the moment :) and coloured her with Copic Markers. The paper is from Basic Grey and Making Memories, I put a lot of stickles on her wings.

Ich habe einen meiner liebsten Schutzengel designed von Elisabeth Bell für Whiff of Joy verwendet. Melinda mit Blumenbouquet (sie ist momentan zu einem speziellen Preis erhältlich :)

Das Papier ist von Basic Grey und Making Memories, ich habe ihre Flügel mit viel Stickles Glitzerkleber bestrichen.

Stamp Mekka 18 - we will be there!

Do you know the Stamp Mekka? It is the largest stamp related show in Germany which takes place on September 12. and September 13. 2009. I took the chance and booked a booth for Whiff of Joy stamps (can you feel my excitement :) We will have a lot of new stamps with us, together with our most famous collections. We will also offer some spring, summer and fall stamp kits, which aren't available in the shop after pre-orders (but only as long as supply lasts, so hurry :)
I will do some colouring demonstration and hope to meet a lot of you there :)

Seid ihr schon einmal beim Stempelmekka gewesen? Das ist Deutschlands größte Ausstellung, die ganz der Stempelei gewidmet ist. Dieses Jahr findet das 1. Stempelmekka am 12. und 13. September statt und ich habe mich getraut einen Stand für Whiff of Joy zu reservieren (könnt ihr meine Aufregung spüren? :) Wir werden einige neue Stempel bei uns haben, aber auch unsere beliebtesten, bekannten Kollektionen anbieten. Ausserdem nehmen wir auch ein paar Frühlings-, Sommer- und Herbst Stempel kits mit, die ja nach der Vorbestellungszeit nicht mehr erhältlich sind (diese gibt es nur solange der Vorrat reicht, also beeilt euch zu unserem Stand :)
Ich werde meinen Colorationsstil vorzeigen und hoffe, dass ich recht viele bekannte Gesichter sehen werde. Kommt doch vorbei und sagt Hallo. Es wäre toll euch persönlich kennen zu lernen!

I received this fantastic card from Sonja yesterday. She congratulated me on 1 year Whiff of Joy, with one of the new Party Animals (Fred the elephant). What a delight!! Isn't her colouration stunning and I love how she combined so many different shapes to one amazing piece of art.

Gestern flatterte diese traumhafte Karte der lieben Sonja in meinen Briefkasten. Damit gratulierte sie mir zu 1 Jahr Whiff of Joy, und verwendete auch gleich eines der neuen Party Tiere (Fred den Elefanten). Ich hatte eine riesige Freude. I did this album for the 3rd birthday of my son Niklas and I hope he will treasure it (it was one though job..haha :)

Ich habe dieses Album mit Fotos des 3. Geburtstags meines Sohnes Niklas gemacht und hoffe er wird es in Ehren halten (es war eine Heidenarbeit...haha)

Here is another new stamp. Niki the Party Racoon. We went to an indoor playground for NIklas' birthday and their mascot is a racoon, so this stamp fit perfectly and I simply had to name it after my son :)

Hier seht ihr einen weiteren neuen Stempel: Niki den Partywaschbären. Wir haben Niklas' Geburtstag mit seinen besten Freunden bei einem großen Indoor Spielplatz verbracht. Deren Maskottchen ist ein Waschbär, also hat der Stempel super gepaßt und ich mußte ihn einfach nach meinem Sohn benennen :)

There are some more news which I would like to share with you today. I had a lot of requests from dear customers who asked me to also carry some mount for our unmounted rubber stamps in the Whiff of Joy store. I am always open for new things, so I took a look around for some high quality Cling Cushion Mounting Foam which I could add to our product list. We had to complete quite some preparations and add new packaging options to be able to ship it to you.

But today is the day and you will also be able to purchase your Cling Cushion from us. We offer 2 different sizes at a spezial price.

Flowery Thank You Card

I needed a Thank you card for a lovely elderly Lady who helped me out a lot lately. So I came up with this simple layout.
Ich brauchte eine Dankeskarte für eine nette ältere Dame, die mir in letzter Zeit viel geholfen hat. Also habe ich mir das folgende Layout überlegt.
I found this huge satin ribbon flower at my local Tchibo store. It was actually a clip on it, so you could pin it on things for decoration. I removed that clip and adhered it to my card. The sentiment is computer generated and means "A flowery thank you note".

Ich habe diese riesige Satinband-Blume bei Tchibo gekauft. Ursprünglich hatte sie einen Clip montiert, mit dem man sie als Deko benutzen konnte. Ich habe den Clip entfernt und sie auf meine Karte geklebt. Den Text habe ich am Computer erstellt.

How to put the logo in your sidebar (I can only advise you for blogger, I don't know myself how to do it for wordpress or typepad):

• move your mouse over the graphic -> click your right mouse button and choose "save picture" -> save the graphic to your harddisc
• login to your blogger account -> choose "Layout" -> "add widget"
• choose the "picture" widget -> now you can add the picture from your harddisc and add a link

Winter is...

Hello everybody, sorry for my absence during the past days, but my laptop crashed. What a disaster!! I had to get a new one and install all programs again, all my mails got lost and I am in state of total mess at the moment...LOL, well what else is new??

Hallo ihr Lieben. Es tut mir leid, dass ich in den letzten Tagen nichts von mir hab hören lassen. Mein Laptop hat am Montag seinen Geist aufgegeben. Ich mußte mir einen Neuen kaufen und zuerst wieder alle Programme installieren. All meine Emails gingen verloren und ich befinde mich momentan im Zustand des totalen Chaos...LOL aber das ist bei mir sowieso nichts Neues ;)
At least, I had the time to do a card for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge with the theme "Christmas in August". I hope you won't start sweating only by looking at cute Lizzie with her muff, designed by Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy Stamps. We have over 30 °C today, and I wished it was time for winter again...haha The sentiment is a transparent sticker from TLC.

Zumindest hatte ich so die Zeit eine Karte für die dieswöchige Cute Card Thursday challenge zu machen. Das Thema ist "Weihnachten in August". Ich hoffe ihr fangt nicht an zu schwitzen, wenn ihr die süße Lizzie mit ihrem Muff, designed von Elisabeth Bell für Whiff of Joy Stamps, anseht ;) Wir haben heute über 30 °C und ich wünschte mir ein bisschen mehr "Winter"...haha

Heute mächte ich euch gerne eine sehr talentiert Bastlerin aus den Niederlanden vorstellen. Ich bin sehr glücklich, dass Christa Knegt von Love to Scrap unser Team für die nächsten 2 Monate verstärken wird.

"I am Christa, 48 years ‘old’ and married to Kees. Card making is a huge hobby and about 10 years ago I started with 3D cards and later all other sort of techniques but for the last years I've been in love with scrap and stamps!! You can call me an addict … I am also a mum of Jeroen (26) and Evelien (almost 22).Unfortunately I had to quit my job for personal reasons, but I hope it will give me the opportunity to spend more time at my hobby!! I have decided to enjoy the summer and see what life brings. I hope my cards will be an inspiration for you all!"

"Mein Name ist Christa, 48 Jahre 'alt', verheiratet mit Kees. Kartenbasteln ist ein großes Hobby von mir. Vor ungefähr 10 Jahren habe ich mit dem Basteln von 3D Karte angefangen und habe danach auch einige andere Techniken ausprobiert. Aber seit dem letzten Jahr bin ich dem Stempeln und Scrappen verfallen :) Man kann mich "süchtig" nennen... Ich habe 2 Kinder Jeroen (26) und Evelien (fast 22). Leider mußte ich vor Kurzem meinen Job aus privaten Gründen aufgeben, aber ich hoffe, dass ich so mehr Zeit für mein Hobby haben werde. Ich habe mich entschlossen den Sommer zu genießen und abzuwarten was mir das Leben bringen wird. Ich hoffe euch mit meinen Karten inspirieren zu können."
