I hope you had a lovely first sunday in advent. We lit the first candle of our advent wreath in the morning and sang some christmas carols – the kids had a blast :)

Today I would like to offer a private sale of some of my colouration stuff.
My dear husband bought me lots of Tombow ABT Dual Brush Pens for various occassions, but I never figured out how to use them properly. So I thought maybe somebody else would like to have them.

I have 40 pens in various colours (see picture below), most of them unused, some of them have been used 2-4 times. All of them are in perfect condition. They have 2 tips and are watercolour pens. I offer them for 80 Euros plus shipping (inside Europe: 15 Euro, USA + Canada: 18,5 Euro, ). They normally cost over 130 Euros if you buy them in a store.

Annual Stock-Taking at Whiff of Joy

Today was the start of the annual stock-taking at Whiff of Joy’s. My two helping angels (Bettina and Yvonne) and I counted stamps all afternoon long. What could be better?? Using them, of course…hahaha

Heute war der Start der jährlichen Inventur im Whiff of Joy Lager. Meine 2 hilfreichen Engel (Bettina & Yvonne) und ich zählten den ganzen Nachmittag Stempel. Jetzt fragt ihr euch sicher, was es schöneres geben könnte?? Mit ihnen auch zu stempeln natürlich…haha

The below photo shows Bettina after 3 hours of counting stamps. Don’t you think that this girl just loves her work?? :)

Das untere Foto zeigt Bettina nach 3 Stunden des Stempel Zählens. Immer noch ein Lächeln auf den Lippen – also wenn dieses Mädel ihre Arbeit nicht liebt!! :)

Today I want to show you a classic card. I used papers from Cosmo Crickets fall paper collection. This Willow stamp from Whiff of Joy designed by Elisabeth Bell is a wonderful “Thinking of you” image. The sentiment is available together with THIS stamp.
I coloured Willow with Twinkling H2Os and did some sewing around the borders (still no straight lines yet…haha).

Heute zeige ich euch eine klassische Karte. Das Motivpapier ist von Cosmo Crickets Herbst Papier Kollektion. Diese Willow von Whiff of Joy illustriert von Elisabeth Bell ist der perfekte “Ich denk and Dich” Stempel. Der Text ist zusammen mit DIESEM Stempel erhältlich.
Ich habe Willow mit Twinkling H2Os coloriert und rund um die Kanten genäht (leider immer noch keine geraden Linien..haha).

Waiting for Elias

One of my best friend’s due date was this thursday. We are still waiting for little Elias’ arrival. But this “delay in delivery”..haha … gave me enough time to complete my birth presents :)

Eine meiner besten Freundinnen ist hochschwanger. Der Geburtstermin wäre diesen Donnerstag gewesen, wir warten aber immer noch auf die Ankunft von klein Elias. Seine Verspätung gab mir jedoch die Gelegenheit rechtzeitig mit meinen Baby Geschenken fertig zu werden :)

My card features Willow holding her Baby illustrated by Elisabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy. It is such a beautiful image!! The sentiment is from the german Baby Text Collection. I stamped it on white vellum and adhered it with adhesive foam dots, which are hidden underneath the halfpearls.

Meine Karte zeigt Willow mit ihrem Baby illustriert von Elisabeth Bell für Whiff of Joy. Das Motiv ist einfach nur wunderschön! Der text stammt aus der deutschen Baby Textkollektion.
Ich habe ihn auf weisses Transparentpapier gestempelt und dieses mit Abstandshaltern auf dem Motivpapier befestigt. Diese sind unter den Halbperlen versteckt :)

I coloured Willow with Twinkling H2Os. Do you see the sewing on the card?! Guess what, I managed to use my new sewing machine. Please don’t look too closely. I need to practise again to be able to sew straight…haha
I couldn’t help myself and tried to embroider with the new machine. I was very surprised how easy it was. The below pictures shows my results (I am quite proud of myself…LOL).

Ich habe Willow mit Twinkling H2Os coloriert. Habt ihr bemerkt, dass ich auf dieser Karte wieder genäht habe?? Ich habe mich getraut meine neue Nähmaschine einzusetzen. Bitte nicht zu genau hinsehen…ich bin hoffnungslos aus der Übung…haha
Ausserdem konnte ich mich nicht beherrschen und mußte den “Stickmodus” der Maschine ausprobieren. Ich war total überrascht wie einfach es ging. Das obige Foto zeigt das Resultat (Ich bin recht stolz auf mich selbst…haha).

Guess who is back…

OMG!! Maybe you have heard me scream with excitement a few days ago, when I received an email from the fabulously talented Inge from Patterened Paper in which she answered my prayers to join the Whiff of Joy DT again :)
Inge had to step back from most commitments because of personal reasons and i am more than happy to see her getting back into business again :)
Thanks Inge for sticking with us and I am soooo excited to see your heavenly artwork with the Whiff of Joy stamps again!!

Wohooo! Vielleicht habt ihr mich ja vor ein paar Tagen vor Aufregung schreien hören ;) Ich bekam nämlich ein Email von der himmlisch begabten Inge von Patterened Paper in dem sie mein Flehen erhört und wieder dem Whiff of Joy DT beitritt. Inge mußte vor einiger Zeit fast alle Verpflichtung aus gesundheitlichen Gründen aufgeben und ich bin absolut glücklich, dass sie langsam wieder zurück zu uns findet :) Vielen Dank, dass du an uns fest hältst Inge! Ich freue mich riesig wieder deine Kunstwerke mit den Stempeln von Whiff of Joy zu sehen :)

Hope – WoJ Challenge #56

Sorry for being so absent this week. There is a lot going on at Whiff of Joy and at my family these days. At least I managed to join the Whiff of Joy challenge this week. Gio provided a great sketch and I still need a lot of christmas cards :)

Es tut mir leid, dass ich meinen Blog die letzte Woche vernachlässigt habe. Zur Zeit ist bei Whiff of Joy und auch privat viel los :) Zumindest habe ich es geschafft an der Whiff of Joy Challenge teilzunehmen. Gio hat einen tollen Sketch gestaltet und ich brauche noch jede Menge Weihnachtskarten :)

I bought the new Magnolia design paper at the Stamp Mekka show in September and wanted to use it for the first time. I wan’t quite happy with it though. There is a lot of white border around the papers, the design isn’t printed on the entire paper, so I had to cut a lot of paper away.
The stamp is Whiff of Joy’s christmas candle illustrated by Elisabeth Bell. I bought the large felt snowflake ages ago and sprinkled glitter all over it.

Ich habe das neue Magnolia Motivpapier im September am Stempel Mekka gekauft und wollte es endlich mal benutzen. Leider war ich nicht ganz überzeugt davon. Das Design ist nicht bis ganz an den Rand gedruckt und es bleibt ein beachtlicher weisser Rahmen. Ich mußte einiges Wegschneiden, ansonsten wäre an einer Seite meiner Papierstücke alles weiss gewesen.
Der Stempel ist Whiff of Joy’s Weihnachtskerze illustriert von Elisabeth Bell. Die große Filz-Schneeflocke habe ich schon ewig zu Hause, ich habe sie mit etwas Glitzer aufgebessert.

Did you notice my new 3 column blogger template? *wohoo* I managed to change it without loosing all my sidebar widgets. I am quite proud of myself :)

My dear friend Rach sent me this absolutely fabulous card after we moved house. I was so touched and happy to receive it. Thanks Rach!! You are a gem and I am delighted about the quality of your cards every time I hold one in my hand in real life.

Easy Christmas Tags

I had the idea for this christmas tags after rummaging around in my “never before used stamps” drawer. I found this great tag stamp from Stampers Anonymous, which I bought at the Stamp Mekka 2008.

Ich hatte die Idee zu diesen Weihnachtsanhängern als ich in meiner Schublade für “noch nie benutzte Stempel” herumwühlte. Dort fand ich den Tag Stempel von Stampers Anonymous, den ich 2008 auf dem Stempel Mekka gekauft habe.

All you need to create this tags are some punches (my Martha Steward leaves punch almost gave out during this..LOL), eyelets, ribbon and charms (all the charms I used can be purchased via Whiff of Joy).

Alles was ihr braucht um diese Geschenkanhänger zu basteln sind ein paar Stanzer (mein Martha Steward Blätter Stanzer hat während diesem Projekt fast den Geist aufgegeben…haha), Eyelets, Bänder und Charms (alle Charms, die ich verwendet haben sind via Whiff of Joy erhältlich).

I left the ribbon quite long, so that it will be easy to attach the tags to the gifts.

Ich habe die Bänder recht lang gelassen, damit es leichter ist die Anhänger an den Geschenken zu befestigen.

WoJ Guest Designer Spotlight – Ula Kazmierowska

Hi! My name is Ula Hejnig-Kazmierowska from UHK Gallery and I'm from Poland. My nickname in the web is UHK.
I'm a happy wife. We have two little daughters (Hania - 4 and Agatka - 1).
Coloring stamped images is a new thing to me, because those techniques are quite new in Poland.

I fell in love with the "Willow with hot chocolate" WOJ stamp and that's how my adventure has begun.
I experiment with coloring using aquarel pencils and distress inks. I love shabby romantic style and vintage distress. I’m very happy that I've become a GD. That is great honour to me!

Hallo, mein Name ist Ula von UHK Gallery. Ich komme aus Polen und bin eine glücklich verheiratete Mutter von 2 Töchtern (Hania - 4 and Agatka - 1). Das colorieren von gestempelten Motiven ist neu für mich, da es in Polen erst jetzt bekannt wird.

Ich habe mich in Willow mit heißer Schokolade von Whiff of Joy verliebt und so hat mein Abenteuer begonnen. Ich experimentiere mit Colorationstechniken und verwende Aquarellstifte und Distress Inks. Ich liebe den shabby romatic Stil und Vintage. Ich bin sehr glücklich, dass ich bei WoJ Gast Designer sein darf, es ist eine große Ehre für mich.

I couldn’t resist this super cute Wee riding his reindeer long…haha I can’t decide who is cuter… the little gnome with his striped stockings or the reindeer with the large feet and the tiny nose :)

Ich konnte dem süßen Weihnachtswichtel auf seinem Rentier nicht lang widerstehen…haha Es fällt mir auch schwer mich zu entscheiden wer von den Beiden süßer ist – der kleine Wichtel mit seinen gestreiften Strümpfen oder das Rentier, mit den großen Hufen und der winzigen Nase :)

I loooove this years Cosmo Cricket christmas paper and didn’t want to cover too much of it. Some of you might have noticed that I don’t do much sewing on my cards anymore – well that’s because my machine is broken *grmpf* I went to the store yesterday and the lovely Lady told me that the Janome Sew Mini (the one I used) isn’t suitable for such extensive usage (do you think that sewing around a 14cm card is “extensive” ?!?!) Well, I decided to buy a new one and got a bit carried away…LOL It is a quite complicated high tech machine with a touch screen and a USB slot… now it will take ages until I am able to understand and use it…haha

Ok, sorry for the long blabla :) I really wanted to use some sewing or stiching on my card and found this great tutorial on Kim’s blog. I used Stampin’ ups linen thread and am quite happy with the result.

Ich liebe das diesjährige Weihnachtspapier von Cosmo Cricket und wollte deswegen nicht zu viel davon verdecken :) Einigen von euch wird vielleicht aufgefallen sein, dass ich auf meinen Karten schon seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr Nähe… Naja, das ist deswegen, da meine Nähmaschine kaputt ist *grmpf* Also bin ich gestern in das Fachgeschäft gepilgert, wo mir die nette Dame mitgeteilt hat, dass die Janome sew Mini (die ja eigentlich eine Kindermaschine ist), nicht für so exzessives Nähen geeignet ist… (würdet ihr das Nähen um eine 14x14 Karte als exzessiv bezeichnen?!?!) Auf jeden Fall habe ich mich entschieden mir eine andere zu kaufen und habe dabei etwas über die Stränge geschlagen…haha Es ist so ein High Tech Ding, mit Touchscreen und USB Anschluss (es könnte ja schließlich sein, dass ich schnell noch meinen Namen auf meine Unterwäsche sticken will, oder ;) Jetzt brauche ich sicher wieder Wochen bis ich mich auskenne und wieder etwas Nähen kann *am Kopf kratz*

Lange Rede kurzer Sinn… Ich wollte auf meiner Karte unbedingt irgendwas Genähtes einbringen und habe auf Kim’s blog eine super Anleitung gefunden. Ich habe Leinenfaden von Stampin’ Up verwendet und bin mit dem Resultat sehr zufrieden :)
