It snowed so hard yesterday and I am truly enjoying the "winter wonderland" over here :)
Today I want to show you a card without a stamped image - I wasn't in the mood for coloring :) The sentiment is a rubOn from Stampin' Up. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket. I love the huge bow, but I am a bit worried how it will look like if I put the card into an envelope...haha
I guess I need to give this one away in person :)

Gestern hat es so stark geschneit, dass unsere gesamte Stadt in weiss gehüllt ist :) So einen Anblick hatte ich nicht mehr seit ich ein Kind war...
Meine heutige Karte kommt ganz ohne coloriertes Motiv aus - irgendwie war ich nicht in der Stimmung zu colorieren :)

Mir gefällt die große Masche richtig gut, ich mache mir nur Sorgen wie sie aussehen wird, wenn ich die Karte in ein Kuvert stecke...haha

I used Charlotte with birdcage for my card and coloured her with Twinkling H2Os. All the papers are from K & Company. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. I stamped it with StazOn jet black ink on SU's white vellum cardstock and cut it with some of Spellbinder's Nestabilities in my Cuttlebug. I received the wonderful flower from my dear and sooooo talented friend Rach. Go and check out her blog, she has some amazing stuff to show :)

Ich habe Charlotte mit Vogelkäfig für meine Karte verwendet und sie mit Twinkling H2os coloriert. Alle Papiere sind von K& Company. Der Text ist von Stampin' Up. Ich habe ihn mit schwarzer Tinte von StazOn auf weisses Transparentpapier von Stampin' Up gestempelt und mit Nestabilities von Spellbinders ausgestanzt (in meiner Cuttlebug). I love Cosmo Cricket’s paper lines, it is just such a pity that it is difficult to get them here in Europe.

I guess all of you heard of the huge earthquake that hit Haiti last week and of the disaster it has caused.

This and that…. and chance to win

Hey everybody! Thanks for your get well wishes. We are still not back to normal. My two boys still have the fever and I am coughing and feeling tired.
Nevertheless, the world is turning here at Whiff of Joy. Charlotte with large letter is back in stock as well as the famous Normal Fickel stamps. Norma aslo send me some lovely spring images the other day, which will be turned into rubber soon.

I also received a lot of email asking me if we will also continue our “stamp kits” in 2010.
Definitaly YES!! They are so famous and such a great deal for our customers that it would be a shame not to go on :) There will be quite some changes in the policies of the stamp kits and there will also be some surprises… Please stay tuned, the first stamp kit will be ready for ordering in february!!


Hallo miteinander! Danke für eure gute Besserungswünsche. Bei uns läuft es immer noch nicht wieder rund. Meine 2 Jungs haben Fieber und ich schleppe mich nach wie vor mit Husten und schlimmer Müdigkeit durch die Gegend.
Trotzdem geht es hier bei Whiff of Joy vorwärts. Charlotte mit dem großen Brief ist wieder auf Lager, ebenso wie die beliebten Stempel von Norma Fickel. Norma hat mir ausserdem die neuesten Motive für den Frühling geschickt, die bald als Stempel erhältlich sein werden.

Ich habe viele emails erhalten in denen ich gefragt wurde ob wir auch dieses Jahr wieder Stempel Kits anbieten werden. Darauf kann ich nur antworten: Natürlich!!! Unsere Kits sind so beliebt und auch ein so guter deal für unsere Kunden, dass es eine Schande wäre sie abzusagen :) Es wird ein paar Änderungen in den AGBs der Stempel Kits geben und auch einige erfreuliche Überraschungen. Also bleibt informiert, das erste Kit wird es im Februar geben!!

Small present for Bettina

I am still so ill!!! I got a fever and a severe cough on the weekend and have to take medication to get over with it… So this post is going to be quite short.

Ich bin immer noch sowas von krank :( Am Wochenende bekam ich plötzlich Fieber und einen schlimmen Husten, jetzt muss ich Medikamente nehmen, damit es besser wird. Seid mir bitte nicht böse, wenn dieser Beitrag deswegen recht kurz ausfällt.

My very dear friend, and my right hand at Whiff of Joy, Bettina is pregnant. Her due date is in early April. I loved being pregnant myself and so I enjoy her growing belly immensely ( I hope she isn’t annoyed by me staring at it all the time…haha). I am so looking forward to meeting her little baby girl (Andrina). We also meet alot besides work and our kids are best friend, so it will be a very exciting event to welcome a new life in our middle.
Sorry, I started babbling ;)
Long sentence short…. Bettina had problems with the ligaments of her uterus. They are hurting, because they have to carry so much more weight. So I bought her this massage oil, which will hopefully help a bit :)

I packed it in this little box, which is made after my “tissue box” tutorial. I made a video tutorial about how to make it. You can watch it HERE. The stamp I used is “Henry Angel mouse”. It was part of the Henry Mouse christmas collection of Whiff of Joy, but it can also be used as an all year round guardian angel stamp :)

Meine gute Freundin und rechte Hand bei Whiff of Joy, Bettina, ist schwanger. Sie wird ihr Baby Anfang April zur Welt bringen. Ich war selbst sehr gerne schwanger, deswegen liebe ich ihren immer größer werden Bauch :) (Ich hoffe sie fühlt sich nicht belästigt, weil ich so oft drauf starre…hihi) Ich freue mich schon sehr auf die Ankunft ihres Mädchens (Andrina). Da wir uns auch oft ausserhalb der Arbeit treffen, sind unsere Kinder die besten Freunde, deswegen ist es auch für meine Familie ein besonderes Ereignis dieses neue Leben willkommen zu heißen.

Lange Rede kurzer Sinn… Bettina hatte in der letzten Zeit Probleme mit den Bändern ihrer Gebärmutter, da sie das zusätzliche Gewicht nicht gewohnt waren. Deswegen habe ich ihr dieses Massageöl gekauft, was ihr hoffentlich Erleichterung bringt.

Ich habe es in eine kleine Schachtel gepackt, die ich nach meinem “Taschentuch Box” Tutorial gebastelt habe. Ich habe dazu ein Videotutorial gemacht, das ihr euch HIER ansehen könnt.
Der Stempel ist “Henry Maus als Engel” aus der Weihnachtskollektion von Whiff of Joy. Aber auch unterm Jahr ist dieser Stempel als “Schutzengel” verwendbar.

Whiff of Joy Stamps – Guest Designer Call

One of my new year resolutions was to be a bit more correct with dates and to bring more structure in Whiff of Joy’s events. So here is the first step to do so :)

All 2 months on the 16th, I will be holding a Guest Designer Call. The call will be open for 1 week. I will then choose 1-3 Guest Designer who will be creating cards or papercraftprojects with Whiff of Joy’s newest stamps for the next 2 months until the next Guest Designers are chosen.

Einer meiner Vorsätze für das neue Jahr war, dass ich mehr Struktur in die Events von Whiff of Joy bringe. Hier ist mein erster Schritt um diesen Vorsatz zu erfüllen :)

Alle 2 Monate, immer am 16., werde ich einen Gast Designer Aufruf machen. Dieser Aufruf bleibt für 1 Woche offen. Danach werde ich 1-3 Gast Designer aussuchen, die in den darauf folgenden 2 Monaten Karten und Bastelprojekte mit den neuesten Stempeln von Whiff of Joy machen dürfen.
Klickt bitte auf das folgende Bild um eine deutsche Version davon zu erhalten.

Important information:

• Everybody can enter from anywhere in the world!!
• You can submit as many cards as you like.
• You have to use at least 1 Whiff of Joy Stamp on you card!!!

Here is my example card for the sketch. I used Charlotte with large letter from the new “Happy Mail” collection. This stamp is currently out of stock, but will be back by the end of January. I left the space on the large letter empty to be able to personalize the card once I know to whom I will send it.

Hier ist meine Bespielkarte für den Sketch. Ich habe Charlotte mit großem Brief aus der neuen “Happy Mail” Kollektion verwendet. Wohooo!!! Whiff of Joy will be attending the BSSS in London on April 10th till 11th. I am soooooo excited and still can't believe it!!

It's been ages since I've last been to London and I am afraid that i won't understand a word...haha

We are at booth #23, please stop by to say "hello" :) and be patient with me stammering ;)

We will also be attending the Stamp show South in Stuttgart (Germany) on April 17th. Wow, what an exciting time :)

Wohooo!! Whiff of Joy wird auf der BSSS in London vom 10.-11- April als Aussteller zugegen sein. Ich bin schon sooooooo aufgeregt und kann es immer noch nicht glauben!! Es ist Jahre her, dass ich das letzte Mal in London war und ich werde sicher kein Wort verstehen...haha

Wir werden ausserdem die Stempelmesse Süd in Stuttgart (17.-18. April) besuchen und hoffen viele von euch dort zu treffen :)

Fall Charlotte goes Spring

Happy tuesday everbody!! Isn’t the snow wonderful?? It snowed all night yesterday and we spent all day outside to do some sledging and snowman building. The snow is so wonderful for the kids :)

I am happy to be able to let you know that all Twinklings H2Os, that Whiff of Joy, is offering are back in stock :) I wrote all colours that I used for my colouration down below, so that you get a better feeling of them.

Einen schönen Dienstag Abend wünsche ich euch! Ist der Schnee nicht großartig?? Gestern Nacht hat es stundenlang geschneit, deswegen konnten wir heute einen tollen Neuschnee genießen, Schlitten fahren und Schneemann bauen. Für Kinder ist der Schnee richtig toll!

Ich habe ausserdem eine gute Nachricht. Alle Twinklings H2Os, die Whiff of Joy im Sortiment hat, sind wieder an Lager :) Ich habe alle Farben, die ich für das folgende Motiv verwendet habe weiter unten angeführt, damit ihr ein Gefühl für diese toll schimmernden Aquarellfarben bekommt.

I love this Fall Charlotte and wanted to use her for a spring card. So I covered all the leaves with adhesive tape to stamp her without them. Simply use your ink over the stamp and remove the adhesive tape before stamping. So the covered area won’t show.

Ich liebe die herbstliche Charlotte im Blätterregen und wollte sie für eine frühlingshafte Karte verwenden. Zu diesem Zweck habe ich alle Blätter mit Klebeband abgedeckt. Danach drückt man den Stempel wie gewohnt auf das Stempelkissen und entfernt das Klebeband bevor man stempelt. Somit ist der abgedeckte Bereich nicht sichtbar.

The chipboard butterfly is from Tattered Angels. It is lovely textured. I used my brown inkpad to distress ist and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist “Old Lace” to add some sparkle.

Der Schmetterling ist von Tattered Angels und ist mit einem wunderschönen Muster versehen. Ich habe ihn mit meinem braunen Stempelkissen distressed und etwas Glimmer Mist von Tattered Angels verwendet um ein bisschen Glitzer hinzuzufügen.

I hope you are having a great weekend so far. Finally I was able to do some crafting again. Wow, what a phenomenal feeling. The start of a new year is always so busy with inventory taking and tax computation… (*yak* I hate such stuff!!), so I wasn’t able to craft until today :)

Ich hoffe euer WE ist bis jetzt geruhsam :) Ich hatte endlich mal wieder Zeit zu basteln. Wow, was für ein tolles Gefühl! Der Beginn eines neuen Jahres ist immer so stressig mit Inventur und Steuererklärung… (*igitt* Ich hasse so Zeug!!), deswegen bin ich bis jetzt nicht dazu gekommen zu Basteln.

Charlotte kissing a pigeon is part of Whiff of Joy’s newest release called “Happy Mail” collection. All the stamps are perfect for Valentine’s day, but also for everyday occassions, which makes them very versatile.

I stamped the background with brown ink and Stampin Up’s background stamp (en francais). I did a lot of distressing around the borders. The brown cardstock is embossed with a cuttlebug folder. I rolled two pieces of newspaper and distressed them added two pins from Whiff of Joy and a bead cap on the front. The text is included with the Charlotte riding on pigeon stamp (which is a special deal for our customers – 5 sentiments and 1 large Charlotte stamp for only 6,2 Euros – approx. 9,2 USD).

“Charlotte küsst Brieftaube” ist Teil der neu erschienenen Stempelkollektion von Whiff of Joy mit dem Namen “Happy Mail”. Alle Motive der Kollektion sind perfekt für den Valentinstag, passen aber auch sehr gut zu allen anderen Gelegenheiten des Jahres, was das Set zu einer sehr vielseitigen Kollektion macht.

Ich habe den Hintergrund mit brauner Tinte und dem Stampin’ Up Hintergrundstempel “en francais” gestaltet. Rund um die Kanten habe ich recht startk distressed. Den braunen Cardstock habe ich mit einem Cuttlebug folder embosst. Ich habe 2 Stück Zeitung zusammengerollt, ebenfalls distressed, 2 Pins von Whiff of Joy und 1 bead cap hinzugefügt. Der Text ist zusammen mit dem Charlotte reitet auf Brieftaube Stempel erhältlich (dieser Stempel ist ein besonderes “Zuckerl” für unsere Kunden, da 5 Texte und ein großer Motivstempel nur 6,20 Euros kosten).
