A wonderful surprise...

My dear friend Jeanette sent me a box full of craft goodies, one of her phenomenal cards and a breathtaking circle flip up book (see pictures below).
Thank you so much Jeanette, it was such an unexpected and lovely surprise!! And my boys loved the traditional Canadian cookies :)

Meine liebe Freundin Jeanette schickte mir ein Päckchen gefüllt mit Bastelsachen, einer ihrer traumhaften Karten und ein fantastisches, rundes Flip Up Buch.
Vielen Dank Jeanette, es war so eine liebe Überraschung und meine Jungs stürzten sich gleich auf die traditionellen, kanadischen Kekse :)

Texting Crazy - CCT #123

This week on the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blog, we want to see your cards that feature text...the bigger the better!

Das Thema der Woche des Cute Card Thursday Challenge Blogs lautet "Texting Crazy". Das heißt, Text soll im Mittelpunkt der Karten stehen.

I used two sentiments from Whiff of Joy's German Party text collection on my card. The paper is from Papertrey ink, I received it from my dear friend Jeanette. The linen ribbon is from Karen Foster designs, I stamped the text on it myself with StazOn jet black ink.
The kraft cardstock is embossed with a cuttlebug folder that also features text on it. I sewed it to the background by hand with linen thread.

Meine Karte zeigt 2 Texte der deutschen Party-textkollektion von Whiff of Joy. Das Papier ist vonPapertrey Ink, ich habe es von meiner lieben Freundin Jeanette bekommen. Das selbstklebende Naturband habe ich selbst mit dem Text bestempelt und zwar mit StazOn jet black Tinte. Der "Kraft" Cardstock wurde mit einem Folder von Cuttlebug embosst, der ebenfalls Text zeigt . Ich habe ihn mit einem Leinenfaden an den Hintergrund genäht.

WoJ challenge #83 - You are amazing

Bev created a inspiring sketch for the Whiff of Joy challenge, which I instantly fell in love with.
The challenge is open for 2 weeks and one lucky crafter will win a fabulous "Fun in the sun" stamp kit (which is already mounted on cling and comes in a CD case for easy storage).

Bev gestaltete einen sehr inspirierenden Sketch für die aktuelle Whiff of Joy challenge, den ich unbedingt nachbasteln mußte. After almost 2 years of creative designing for Whiff of Joy, Jacqui Dennis had to step down from her DT position due to health issues. Thank you Jacqui for being with us and for your friendship. Katharina xx

Crafting with my boys

I still try to take the time to craft with my two boys from time to time. Both of them are now old enough to not end up in disaster...haha
Niklas (on the right) is an absolute crafting maniac, because he sees me doing it all the time. A few days ago, we took all our childrens stamps and pens to be creative. We had a lot of fun :)

Ich bemühe mich regelmäßig mit meinen Kindern zu Basteln. Beide sind jetzt in einem Alter in dem es nicht mehr im totalen Chaos endet...haha
Niklas (mein Ältester) ist ein absoluter Bastelfanatiker. Ich denke das kommt daher, dass er mich immer dabei sieht :)
Vor ein paar Tagen haben wir all unsere Kinderstempel und Stifte hervorgeholt und wurden kreativ.

The pens we used are from Stampin' Up - special body pens, as also is the inkpad. This way the kids can also stamp on their hands and colour the stamps on their skin too. Can you imagine that they love to do this? ;)

Die Stifte und das Stempelkissen, dass wir verwendet haben sind auch für den Körper geeignet. So können die Kinder auch ihre Hände bestempeln und es dann Ausmalen. Könnt ihr euch vorstellen, dass ihnen das Spaß macht? ;)

Babtism gift - altered carton tube

My dear friend Bettina's daughter celebrated her babtism this month. We have been invited to join the celebration, which has been a very special moment for me :)
I bought a little summer dress and created the packaging myself. The tube was plain black, it was the packaging of a room perfume (spring rose scent), which I bought a few weeks ago.

Die Tochter meiner lieben Freundin Bettina wurde im Juni getauft. Wir wurden zu der Feier eingeladen, was ein spezielles, wunderschönes Ereignis für mich war :) Ich habe ein süßes Sommerkleidchen als Geschenk gekauft und die Verpackung selbst gestaltet. Die Röhre war die Verpackung eines Raumparfüms (Frühlingsrose), das ich vor ein paar Wochen gekauft habe.

I used one of Spellbinder labels die to create the tag and Whiff of Joy's "Willow with toddler" by Elisabeth Bell as central stamped image. I coloured it with Twinkling H2Os, cut it out and adhered it with dimensional pads. The sentiments are from WoJ's german Baby Text collection.

Ich habe eines der Labels Stanzteile von Spellbinder verwendet um die Basis des Tags zu gestalten. Das Motiv ist Whiff of Joy's Willow mit Kleinkind von Elisabeth Bell. Coloriert habe ich es mit Twinkling H2Os, angeklebt mit Abstandshaltern. Die Texte sind von der deutschen Babytext Kollektion von Whiff of Joy.

A scrapped photo "thank you" card

This year my son Niklas attended a playgroup which spent a few hours in the woods each week. He starts with Kindergarten this August, so we had to say "goodbye" to the lovely teachers of the playgroup. We bought a gift voucher for a lovely restaurant and included it in the card I made.

Mein Sohn Niklas war dieses Jahr in der Waldspielgruppe. 2 Betreuerinnen sind mit den Kindern jede Woche für 2 Stunden in den Wald zum Spielen gegangen. Da Niklas diesen August mit dem Kindergarten anfängt, mußten wir uns von den Betreuerinnen verabschieden. Wir haben ihnen einen Gutschein für ein schönes Restaurant gekauft und diesen in die Karte gesteckt, die ich gebastelt habe.
