Whiff of Joy 1st September XMas release - today is THE day!!

*Wohoooo* Whiff of Joy's September release is up and ready to grab at the Whiff of Joy Webpage. Hop over and have a look at all our wonderful new products!!

My card for today shows another super cute new stamp called "Sammy with licorice".
Alison Acton illustrated her cute little son for Whiff of Joy and lets us be part of his first christmas this way :)

I coloured Sammy with Copic Sketch Markers and a white gel pen. I added white fun flock on his cap for more depth.

Meine Karte von heute zeigt einen weiteren super süßen neuen Stempel mit dem Namen "Sammy mit Lakritze". Alison Acton hat ihren süßen kleinen Sohn für Whiff of Joy illustriert und läßt uns somit alle an den ersten Weihnachten ihres Wonneproppens teilhaben :)

Ich habe Sammy mit Copic Sketch Markern und einem weissen Gelstift coloriert. Auf der Kappe habe ich weissen Fun Flock aufgeklebt, um mehr Leben in das Motiv zu bringen.

I also used another new Whiff of Joy die for my card. Those "pennants" are so much fun to work with and the possibilities are endless. I used them in a quite simple way to start with :)

I cut the base of the penannts in a neutral colour, then cut the three flags from different papers.

Ich habe auch ein weiteres der neuen Whiff of Joy Stanzteile für meine Karte verwendet. Diese "Wimpel" machen so viel Spass und es gibt eine zahllose Reihe von Anwendungsmöglichkeiten. Hier habe eine Grundlegende angewendet.

Zuerst habe ich die Wimpel in einer Grundfarbe ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich die 3 Fähnchen aus unterschiedlichem Motivpapier nochmal ausgestanzt.

I adhered these 3 flags to the base pennants with foam pads to get a 3D effect.

Die einzelnen Fähnchen habe ich dann mit kleinen Abstandshaltern auf die Basis Form geklebt. So erzielte ich einen 3D Effekt.

Whiff of Joy 1st September XMas release - preview III

After showing you a tiny preview of one of Whiff of Joy's new metal dies, I decided to do another card on which it is fully featured :)

I punched and embossed the tag with my Cuttlebug, then adhered it to a piece of black cardstock. I cut around it with scissors to get the black border.
I stamped the sentiment on green design paper, cut it out and rounded the corners with a punch, then used dimensional pads to adhere it to the tag.

The little tree charm hangs on a small silver chain, I twisted it a few times to get this crumpled look, then adhered the charm with another dimensional pad to hold it in place.

Nachdem ich euch gestern einen kleinen Ausschnitt des neuen Whiff of Joy Metall-Stanzteils "Magical Tag" gezeigt habe, wollte ich auch noch eine Karte basteln, die dieses schöne Tag auch im Ganzen zeigt.

Ich habe den Tag mit meiner Cuttlebug ausgestanzt und geprägt. Danach habe ich ihn auf ein Stück schwarzen Cardstock geklebt, den ich dann mit einer Schere in der Form des Tags ausgeschnitten habe, um den schwarzen Rand zu erhalten.
Den Text habe ich auf grünes Motivpapier gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und die Ecken mit einem Stanzer abgerundet. Aufgeklebt habe ich den Text mit Abstandshaltern, damit es etwas Dimension auf der Karte gibt.

Der kleine Weihnachtsbaum hängt an einer silbernen Kette, die ich mehrmals um die eigene Achse gedreht habe, was die Optik erklärt :) Den Charm habe ich zusätzlich mit einem weiteren Abstandhalter festgeklebt um ihn an seinem Platz zu halten.

Whiff of Joy Sept. 1st christmas release - preview II

Not only do I want to present you another super cute stamp which will be available on September 1st via Whiff of Joy, but also I want to reveal another big news :)
Whiff of Joy will be releasing 2 complete new product lines next week. Super thin and detailed metal dies in different shapes and a fabulous paperpad (especially for cardmakers), which coordinates with our new christmas stamps line. *clapping in excitement*

Heute werde ich euch nicht nur einen weiteren super süßen neuen Stempel zeigen, den Whiff of Joy am 1. September herausbringen wird, sondern ich werde eine fantastische geheime Neuigkeit enthüllen :)
Whiff of Joy stellt ab 1. September 2 komplett neue Produktlinien vor. Super dünne, metallene Stanzteile voller Details in verschiedenen Formen und tolles Motivpapier (in Form eines Paperpads), das speziell mit unseren neuen Weihnachtsstempeln harmoniert. *klatscht in die Hände vor Aufregung*

I already used some of our new craft tools on today's card.
It showcases Henry's girlfriend "Betty the mouse" :) Isn't she cute? I coloured her with Twinkling H2Os and glitter pens from Spica. The background paper is included in Whiff of Joy's first paperpad "Winter Pretties". And I created the hanger of the coloured image with Whiff of Joy's "Magical Tag" die. I cut the die 2 times out of kraft cardstock, put a large eyelet through it and adhered them to the back of the image.

Ich habe schon ein paar der neuen Bastelprodukte auf meiner Karte von heute benutzt.
Sie zeigt Henry's neue Freundin "Betty die Maus", ist sie nicht super süß? :) Coloriert habe ich sie mit Twinkling H2Os und Glitzerstiften von Spica.
Das Hintergrundpapier ist in Whiff of Joy's erstem Paperpad "Winter Pretties" enthalten. Und die Aufhängung für das Motiv habe ich mit Whiff of Joy's "Magical Tag" zusammengesetzt. Ich habe den Tag einfach 2 Mal aus Kraft Cardstock ausgestanzt, ein grosses Eyelet in das Loch gesteckt und hinten am Motiv festgeklebt.

Whiff of Joy's new thin metal dies can be used in most leading die-cutting systems (Cuttlebug, Sizzix Bigshot, Spellbinder's Wizard...). Each package also contains a transparent alignement tool. This tool can be used to align matching rubber stamps exactly to the die. ( I will show how it works soon)

Whiff of Joy's neue Metallstanzteile können mit fast allen führenden Stanzmaschinen verwendet werden (Cuttlebug, Sizzix Bigshot, Spellbinder's Wizard...). Jede Packung enthält ausserdem eine Positionierungs-Schablone. Diese wird dazu verwendet um passende Gummistempel genau passend zu dem Stanzteil auszurichten. (Ich werde demnächst zeigen wie das genau funktioniert)
Mache von unseren Stanzteilen stanzen UND prägen das Papier.

Do you see the two little holes on the die. They won't show in the cutout shape. They are also used to position a rubber stamp exactly inside the die.

Seht ihr die 2 kleinen Löcher oben und unten an dem Stanzteil? Diese sind auf der ausgestanzten Form nicht mehr zu sehen. Man benutzt sie ebenfalls um einen Gummistempel exakt innerhalb des Stanzteils zu positionieren.

Wir haben ein Set von 6 super süßen Winter / Weihnachtstempeln, top Qualität, tief geprägter roter Gummi, 1 Halloween Motiv und ein fantastisches Stempelkit für euch entworfen. Alles gibt es ab 1. September. Unsere Vorschau-Woche startet heute, also ist es ein guter Tipp auf den Blog des einzigartigen Whiff of Joy Design Teams vorbei zu schaun. I used some cute snowflakes (which were included in Whiff of Joy's winter stamp kit 2009) to stamp the background. The die cut trees are from My Mind's Eye, as is the design paper.

*tataaaa* meine erste Vorschau-Karte zeigt "Henry die Weihnachtsmaus", in Schale geworfen für eine spezielle Weihnachtsparty...haha
Ich habe die niedlichen Schneeflocken (enthalten in Whiff of Joy's Winter Stempelkit 2009) verwendet um den Hintergrund zu stempeln. Die Bäume sind Stanzteile von My Mind's Eye, so wie das Papier.

I coloured Henry with Twinkling H2Os in similar colours as the paper.
Tip: If the image doesn't stamp well (because your ink pad is old or you don't press hard enough), simply use a black liner, black marker, or black Twinklings (in my case) to colour over the badly stamped parts (after you finished colouring the image). I did so on the eyes.

Ich habe Henry mit Twinkling H2Os coloriert.
Tipp: Wenn das Motiv nicht schön abgestempelt wird (entweder da euer Stempelkissen alt ist, oder ihr nicht fest genug gedrückt habt), verwendet einfach einen schwarzen Stift, Copic Marker, oder schwarzes Twinkling H2O (in meinem Fall), um den schlecht gestempelten Teil nachzumalen. Ich habe es bei den Augen so gemacht.

Guess what I found when I opened my video editing software. An uncut video from the Stamp show in Stuttgart (Germany) from last April. I decided to finish cutting and here it is.... *tataaaaa*.

Ich habe es fertig bearbeitet, da ich mir dachte, dass es eine Verschwendung wäre es nicht zu zeugen ;)
