A-Moosing Christmas - WoJ preview IV

Another super fun, christmassy new stamp, Whiff of Joy will be releasing this friday, is this moose with his birdie friends. I love this stamp, because it is so different and so charming.

Ein weiterer super süßer, weihnachtlicher Stempel von Whiff of Joy's Oktober release ist dieser Elch mit seinen gefiederten Freunden. Ich bin richtig verliebt in diesen Stempel, weil er so erfrischend anders und putzig ist.

I coloured the mosse with Twinkling H2Os and put Crystal Effects on the bells. The oval and the cloudy shape (a Nestability Label from Spellbinders) have been adhered with dimensional pads.

Coloriert habe ich das Motiv mit Twinkling H2Os, auf den Glöckchen ist Crystal Effects. Sowohl das Oval mit dem Elch als auch die wolkige Form ( ein Label Stanzteil von Spellbinders) habe ich mit Abstandshaltern festgeklebt, damit die Karte etwas Dimension erhält.

A big Hello from Australia - new Whiff of Joy DT member Kylie Kueter

"A big Hello from Australia! My name is Kylie and I am married to a wonderful man and have two beautiful little sons. I began papercrafting in 2008 after my first son was born but I only really started to get serious when I purchased my first Copics. Since then I have not looked back and love to colour and create. I am lucky enough to be a SAHM so I have lots of time to sit at my craft desk and play. Although I am surrounded by many beautiful stamps, papers and gadgets, I never seem to have enough and am always on the look out for more beautiful stamps and interesting tools.

"Ein Hallo von Australien! Mein Name ist Kylie. Ich bin verheiratet mit einem wundervollen Mann und habe 2 kleine Söhne.
2008 habe ich mit dem Basteln angefangen, nachdem mein erster Sohn geboren wurde. Richtig ernsthaft habe ich aber erst losgelegt als ich meine ersten Copics gekauft habe. Seit diesem Zeitpunkt liebe ich es zu colorieren und zu kreieren.
Ich habe das Glück als Hausfrau tätig sein zu dürfen, was mir genug Zeit läßt meinem Hobby nachzugehen.

New release blog candy

A new STORE stamp kit will be available on October 1st. This kit is the "sister" of our September stamp kit "Christmas Blessings". It features Josef and Baby Jesus, two holy kings (the first one was on the September stamp kit), the holy star and 6 christmas sentiments.

I have good news for all of our stamp kit fans!!! Because of the special character of christmas we will be making an exception from the rule that STORE stamp kits are only available via our retailing stores. This phenomenal kit will also be available via our own webstore starting with October 1st.

Ein neues SHOP Stempel Kit wird ab 1. Oktober erhältlich sein. Dieses Kit ist die "Schwester" unseres September Stempel Kits "Christmas Blessings". Es beinhaltet Josef und Baby Jesus, 2 heilige Könige (der erste war auf dem September Stempel Kit), den Stern von Betlehem und 6 Weihnachtstexte.

Ich habe gute Neuigkeiten für all unsere Stempel Kit Fans. Wegen des speziellen Charakters von Weihnachten machen wir eine Ausnahme von der Regel (dass unsere SHOP Stempel Kits nur über unsere Partner Shops bezogen werden können). Dieses wunderbare Kit wird ab 1. Oktober auch über unseren eigenen Webshop erhältlich sein!!

An jedem Ersten im Monat gibt es bei Whiff of Joy aufregende neue Produkte.
Immer 1 Woche vor diesem Datum beginnt bei dem Whiff of Joy Design Team und mir die Vorschau-Woche. Wir zeigen euch dann Karten und Bastelprojekte auf denen wir die neuen Produkte verwenden. Im folgenden habe ich die schönsten ihrer Werke für euch zusammengesucht. Viel Spass beim Anschaun :)

Whiff of Joy October release - preview III

As promised, here is my second card featuring Whiff of Joy's new die cutting shape and the matching stamp collection. This time I wanted to use the "negative" of the shape to create a kind of a window for Willow with her coffee :)

Wie versprochen ist hier die zweite Karte, die ich mit Whiff of Joy's neuem City Girl Stanzteil und der passenden Stempelkollektion gebastelt habe. Diesmal habe ich das "Negativ" des Stanzteils verwendet, um eine Art Fenster für Willow zu gestalten.

As you can see on the picture below, some of our dies have those alignement circles, which makes it easy to align rubberstamps with our dies. If you want to know more about how it works have a look at Sonja's tutorial.
This is a wonderful technique and very helpful for all rubber stampers, BUT it poses a bit of a problem to use the negative of the shape, because the two alignement circles also cut.

But there is a simple way to avoid those circles to be cut and to get a clean "negative" shape. When using my Cuttlebug with the dies, I am using plate A and B, some cardstock to get the right height and then another B plate on top. I adhered the cardstocks to my die and cut around the circles. This way they won't have the right height to get cut out - é voila!

Wie ihr auf dem Bild oben sehen könnt haben einige unserer Stanzteile zwei kleine Kreise, die zur Ausrichtung von Gummistempeln an den Stanzteilen verwendet werden. Wenn ihr wissen wollt, wie diese Technik funktioniert schaut euch Sonja's Anleitung an.
Diese Technik ist einzigartig und sehr praktisch für alle die mit Gummistempeln arbeiten.. Da die 2 kleinen Kreise jedoch auch mitgestanzt werden, ist es etwas knifflig ein schönes "Negativ" der Form zu bekommen.

Ich habe es folgendermassen gemacht: Wenn ich mit der Cuttlebug stanze, verwende ich die Platten A, B, ein paar Bögen Cardstock um die richtige Höhe fürs Stanzen zu erhalten und nocheinmal eine Platte B oben drauf. Nun habe ich einfach die kleinen Löcher beim Cardstock ausgeschnitten, damit diese nicht die richtige Höhe haben und NICHT mitgestanzt werden ... é voila!

Whiff of Joy's October release - preview II

Whiff of Joy won't only release another set of charming christmas character stamps. We will also be releasing two fabulous sentiments sets with coordinating die cutting shapes. Those sentiments go along with some of our most popular stamps and are perfect for giving your cards the final touch.

Whiff of Joy bringt im nächsten Monat nicht nur entzückende neue Motivstempel heraus, sondern auch 2 großartige Textkollektionen mit passenden Stanzteil-Formen. Diese Texte harmonieren perfekt mit unseren populärsten Stempelmotiven und geben euren Karten somit den letzten Schliff.

I had a lot of fun playing with the new "City Girl Sentiment collection" and the coordinating die cut shape. I was on such a roll, that I was able to finish 4 different cards with only this one stamp collection (Can you guess that I was super proud of myself? LOL)
This is my first one and I love how it turned out. I layered the City Girl shape on 2 labels from Spellbinders and adhered everything with dimensional pads. The little red purse is coloured with Copic Sketch Markers.

Ich hatte riesigen Spass mit dem neuen "City Girl" Texte Set. Ich war richtig gehend von der Muse geküßt und konnte hintereinander 4 Karten mit nur dem 1 Set und dem passenden Stanzteil fertig stellen (Könnt ihr euch vorstellen, dass ich richtig stolz auf mich war?? LOL) Oben seht ihr meine Erste, die mir richtig gut gefällt. Das City Girl Stanzteil habe ich mit Abstandhaltern auf 2 Labels von Spellbinders geklebt. Die kleine rote Tasche habe ich mit Copic Sketch Markern coloriert. Der Text ist folgendermaßen zu verstehen (es ist ein Wortspiel). "Purse" ist die Handtasche "Personality" heißt Persönlichkeit. Der Text soll verstanden werden als "Du hast Persönlichkeit", das "pers" wurde aber gegen "purse" ausgetauscht, was ähnlich ausgesprochen wird.
