Congratulations!! Fantastic news

Today I have some exciting and so very happy news to share with you.
Alison Acton, Whiff of Joy’s popular illustrator (the “mother” of Henry the mouse), gave birth to healthy identical twins on monday. Wohooooo Alison!!!
I am so happy and relieved that her difficult pregnancy resulted in her wonderful boys Evan and Owen.
I am sending tons of warm wishes and heartfelt hugs to Canada. Way to go Alison!!
If you want to join my good wishes and send Alison, Jim (her husband) and her two boys a card, please send me an email and I will share her adress with you (frei.katharina”at”gmail.com).
I made a special card ready for Alison today, featuring one of her Ministamps, which will be release through Whiff of Joy tonight. Come back tomorrow to have a look :)

Heut habe ich tolle und aufregende Neuigkeiten für euch. Whiff of Joy’s Illustratorin und ”Mutter” von Henry Maus, Alison Acton hat am Montag 2 gesunde, eineiige Zwillinge zur Welt gebracht. Wow, bin ich erleichtert. Alison hatte keine leichte Schwangerschaft, was bei eineiigen Zwillingen ja oft der Fall ist. Ich sende tonnenweise gute Wünsche Richtung Kanada. Gut gemacht Alison!!!

Stamping & More Video #22 – A christmas card

I hope you are having a great week so far. It cooled down over here a bit and I am glad that we are getting some rest from the incredible heat of the last days.
The high temperatures were my motivation for creating a christmas card in this week’s Stamping & More video.

Ich hoffe ihr habt eine tolle Woche. Bei uns hat es zum Glück abgekühlt. Die letzten Tage waren fast nicht mehr auszuhalten. Zumindest am Basteltisch konnte ich “Kälte” simulieren und habe deswegen eine Weihnachtskarte in meinem Video dieser Woche gebastelt.



The lovely Jacqueline from Atelier Regenbogen in Winterthur/Switzerland invited me to join their 15 years anniversary celebrations. This event takes place from July 15th – July 19th. Lots of workshops, classes, 15% off all products and much fun!!
I will be demonstrating on Saturday and Sunday, todays card is one of my samples and you can learn how to colour this cute little Gnome with Twinkling H2Os with me. I have a lot more projects to come, so join me if you have the time and live close by.

Noel is giving his best to complete the parking area, but what can one (little) “man” do?  haha

Noel gibt sein Bestes, um den Vorplatz und die Parkplätze fertig zu stellen, aber was kann 1 (kleiner) “Mann” schon tun? haha

A little present

A little present left my house last week.
I stamped on the packing paper with brown ink.
I created little tag during my workshops in the Netherlands. The heart was a gift from Sonja.

Letzte Woche hat mich ein kleines Geschenk verlassen.
Das Packpapier habe ich mit brauner Tinte bestempelt. Den kleinen Anhänger habe ich während meinen Demos in den Niederlanden gebastelt. Das süße Herz ist ein Geschenk von Sonja.

Reach for the stars – my tribute to Michael Jackson

Two years ago one of the greatest musicians of our time passed away.
Michael Jackson has been a part of my childhood. I have one very vivid memory of my parents watching the newly released music video of his song “Thriller” – 1983!! I was 5 years old (still great to watch :) and I was hiding under the table, because I was so afraid of the zombies….haha

Vor zwei Jahren verschied einer der größten Musiker unserer Zeit.
Michael Jackson war ein Teil meiner Kindheit. Ich habe noch eine sehr lebendige Erinnerung an den Abend, an dem das neue Musikvideo von “Thriller” erschien (1983!! damals war ich 5 Jahre alt). Meine Eltern schauten es im Fernsehen und ich versteckte mich unter dem Tisch, da ich so große Angst vor den Zombies hatte…haha

Today, Whiff of Joy and I are honouring Michael Jackson and his amazing work. Therefore the wonderful Alison Acton created “MJ Henry”, now available as digital stamp, black and white and pre-coloured.

Heute ehren Whiff of Joy und ich Michael Jackson und seine atemberaubende Arbeit. Ihm zu Ehren hat die wunderbare Alison Acton “MJ Henry” erschaffen, den es ab sofort als schwarz-weissen und vorkolorierten DigiStempel gibt.

 I used the clear “Wink of Stella” glitter pen to colour Henry’s jacket. Iwasn’t able to catch the phenomenal sparkle on the picture above, but it suits MJ perfectly :)

Ich habe den farblosen “Wink of Stella” Glitzerstift verwendet, um Henry’s Jacke zu betonen. Leider konnte ich den tollen Glimmer auf dem obigen Foto nicht einfangen, aber er paßt perfekt zu MJ :)

Have a wonderful weekend and try to teach your kids the “Moonwalk”. We will behaving fun doing so :)

Habt ein aussergewöhnliches Wochenende und versucht euren Kindern den “Moonwalk” beizubringen. Wir werden dabei viel Spaß haben :)

Stamping & More #21 – How to crochet a 3 layer flower

My videocamera is literally dead. Not even my dear, technically competent, husband was able to fix it. At leat, he had the idea to use my photocamera to do my videos. Great to have a man who always comes up with the perfect solution :)

Meine Videokamera ist anscheinend unwiederbringlich “eingegangen”. Nicht einmal Marcel (mein Mann) mit seinen technisch-magischen Händen konnte ihr neues Leben einhauchen. Zumindest hatte er die Idee, als Notlösung, meine Videos mit dem digitalen Fotoapparat zu filmen. Jaja, was wären wir ohne unsere Männer und ihre wertvollen Hilfestellungen…haha I hope you enjoy watching my new video in which I am showing how to create this lovely crocheted flower I used to embellish my card.
