Whiff of Joy’s fantabulous new October products will be available tomorrow. The Creative Design Team has been super busy with providing the most wonderful inspirational projects featuring the new stamps and dies. Have a look at some of their breathtaking creations below.

Celebrate–Whiff of Joy’s exciting October release

Happy tuesday everybody! What an exciting week lies adhead of me :)
My sweet “Baby Boy” Noel turns 4 tomorrow, I will be spending 4 days at the huuuge Creativa in Zürich (thursday to sunday) aaaand Whiff of Joy has a phantastic NEW release of the most fabulous products coming up on October 1st.

Wow! I feel exhausted already…LOL

Einen wunderschönen Dienstag wünsche ich euch allen!
Vor mir liegt eine sehr aufregende Woche :) Mein süßer Baby Schatz Noel wird morgen 4 Jahre alt (es gibt natürlich eine große Party), ich bin 4 Tage an der riiiesigen Creativa in Zürich (von Donnerstag bis Sonntag) uuund Whiff of Joy bringt am 1. Oktober großartige neue Produkte heraus.

Wow! Ich bin jetzt schon ganz erledigt…haha

I created a “not so chrismassy” Christmas card featuring a lot of the new Whiff of Joy products. We have a set of versatile, basic backgrounds coming. I used them to create my own patterned papers for the above card.

All the new backgrounds are clear stamps (not rubber). The reason for this is simple: If you see through your stamps, continuous background stamping is easier and more comfortable :) All background stamps are 6’’ x 1.2’’, the perfect size for your selfmade cards.
Another feature of the new backgrounds – they have a vintage style. You know that I love the shabby chic, vintage crafting style, therefore I also wanted to incorporate it in my background designs.

Ich habe mit einigen der neuen Whiff of Joy Produkte die obige “nicht so weihnachtliche” Weihnachtskarte gebastelt. Die Hintergründe habe ich selbst gestempelt und somit mein eigenes Motivpapier hergestellt. Und zwar habe ich dafür die neuen, vielseitigen Hintergrundstempel verwendet.

All die neuen Hintergrundstempel sind Clear Stempel (Acrylstempel). Der Grund dafür ist einfach: Wenn man durch den Stempel durchsieht, dann kann man einfacher fortlaufende Hintergründe stempeln :)
Alle Hintergrundstempel sind 15 cm breit, dies ist die ideale Größe für eure selbstgebastelten Karten.
Eine weitere Besonderheit dieser neuen Hintergründe. Sie sind “shabby chic”. Ihr wisst wie sehr ich den Vintage Bastelstil liebe, deswegen ist dieser Stil auch bei den Stempeln wiederzufinden.

Der süße Vogel ist eines unserer hinreißenden neuen Winter / Weihnachtsmotive, illustriert von Alison Acton und Norma Fickel. 7 neue, bezaubernde Motivstempel aus bestem roten Gummi, die eure Kreativität inspirieren werden.

I created the little star with clay, pressed it in an embossing folder to get the structure and added golden stickles around the borders.

Den kleinen Stern habe ich aus Ton ausgestochen, dann in einen Embossing folder gedrückt, um die Struktur zu erhalten. Den Rand habe ich mit goldenen Stickles verziert.

Creativa in Zürich

This weekend we (Whiff of Joy and I )will be exhibiting at the Creativa in Zürich. What a phenomenal location!

An diesem Wochenende, besser gesagt von Donnerstag bis Sonntag, werden wir (Whiff of Joy & ich), zusammen mit dem Atelier Regenbogen, an der Creativa in Zürich ausstellen. Was für eine phenomenale Location! Es wäre schön, wenn ihr uns an Stand C05 besuchen kommt.

Quick and simple–Invitation Card III

Here is another invitation card for my father’s birthday party. I am not sure if he will like the colours, but I wanted to use something else than always brown or blue :)

Eine weitere Einladungskarte für den Geburtstag meines Vaters. Ich bin mir wegen den Farben nicht sicher, wollte aber mal etwas anderes verwenden als immer nur Braun oder Blau :)

Stamping & More #31–Shrink your stamped images–selfmade charms for jewelry

A fun way to create lovely, long lasting charms for jewelry or for papercrafts is to shrink stamped images. In this week’s video I am showing how easy and quick you can do it.
There are multiple ways of using your shrinked charms: for necklaces, braceletes, to pimp up your mobile phones, on gift wraps, for backpacks or handbags. Your kids will love to create them too!!

Eine tolle und einfache Möglichkeit süße Anhänger herzustellen ist das Schrumpfen von gestempelten Motiven. In meinem Video dieser Woche zeige ich euch, wie schnell das geht.
Es gibt viele verschiedene Verwendungsmöglichkeiten für so einen geschrumpften Stempel: Als Anhänger für Ketten und Armbänder, fürs Handy, an Geschenkverpackungen, Rucksäcken oder Handtaschen. Eure Kinder werden auch davon begeistert sein. Lasst sie doch einmal ein “Schrumpfi” ausmalen und beim Schrumpfen zusehen.

Princess for 1 day

Oh my goodness, I was able to create a card!!! What a joy to have the time to be creative. Sometimes it is hard for me to find a spare moment to follow my passion. I often miss the times when my only “craft-responsibility” was, to be creative, during my own time as Designer for other wonderful stamp companies. My responsibilities have changed a lot after founding Whiff of Joy, and I wished one day had 48 hours to get all the work done…LOL

Ach du meine Güte – heute gibt es tatsächlich mal wieder eine Karte von mir zu sehen!!! Es ist so herrlich, wenn ich auch wieder kreativ sein kann. Oft ist es sehr schwer für mich einen freien Moment zu finden, um meiner Bastel-Leidenschaft zu frönen ;)
Dann vermisse ich die Zeiten, als meine einzige Aufgabe darin bestand, “kreativ” zu sein, als ich selbst Designer für andere wundervolle Stempelhersteller war. Nachdem ich Whiff of Joy gegründet habe, wurden meine Aufgaben dramatisch erweitert und ich wünsche mir oft, dass 1 Tag 48 Stunden hätte…haha

Isn’t Rapunzel a beauty? Elisabeth Bell created the perfect “girl” stamp with this charming princess. I coloured her with Twinkling H2O, Wink of Stella glitter pens and added some Glossy Accents on the brush and the veil.

Ist Rapunzel nicht eine absolute Schönheit. Elisabeth Bell hat sich mit dieser Prinzessin wieder einmal selbst übertroffen – perfekt für Mädchen Karten.
Ich habe das Motiv mit Twinkling H2O und Wink of Stella Glitzerstiften coloriert. Auf die Bürste und den Schleier habe ich Glossy Accents aufgetragen.

Ich habe mit Stickles das Extra an Glitzer auf die Blume aufgetragen. Das darf bei einer Mädchen-Karte nicht fehlen :)
