Whiff of Joy May Blog Hop– simple embossing resist card

Welcome to the May Whiff of Joy Blog Hop! I am very happy to be starting it here on my blog.

Whiff of Joy’s newest release is named Heartfelt Condolences and is filled with sweet and soft images illustrated by Elizabeth Bell. These images are perfect for using on Sympathy cards but also for other occasions when someone needs to know that they are cared for. This blog hop is dedicated this fabulous new collection.

I would like to show you a easy and quick card to make with the terrific “Weaping Willow” stamp.

Ich zeige euch heute eine schnelle, aber sehr effektive Karte mit dem schönen Trauerweidenstempel.

I started with stamping the Weaping Willow on white cardstock with moss green Distress ink. Before you proceed to step 2 make sure that the print has dried completely (otherwise the embossing powder will also stick to the green ink). Use a heat tool if necessary.

Stempelt die Trauerweide mit grüner Distress Tinte auf weissen Cardstock. Die Tinte muss richtig gut getrocknet sein, bevor ihr weitermacht, da sonst das Embossingpulver auch auf der grünen Tinte hängen bleibt. Verwendet, wenn nötig, einen Heißluft Fön.

Stamp the Weaping Willow a second time with clear embossing ink, emboss with white embossing powder.

Stempelt die Trauerweide ein zweites Mal mit farbloser Embossingtinte und embosst sie mit weissem Pulver.

Use a light brown inkpad to distress the white cardstock. The white embossed lines will resist the distressing and the image will pop out.

Verwendet eine hellbraune Tinte und wischt damit die Ränder des weissen Cardstocks. Die weiss embossten Linien werden dadurch nicht beeinträchtigt und kommen noch besser hervor.

Stamp a sentiment, sew around the borders, adhere some halfpearls – and that’s it.

Stempelt den Text, näht rund um das Papier und klebt ein paar Halbperlen auf – fertig.
